Star-Spangled Banner Geocache Trail
riends of the Chesapeake Gateways, the Maryland Geocaching Society, and the National Park Service are sponsoring a new Star-Spangled Banner Geocache Trail! The trail commemorates the dramatic chain of events, people and places that led to the birth of our National Anthem during the War of 1812 and includes some St. Mary's County sites and attractions. Legends & Lore Tours - Sotterley Plantation
Over the years, many have lived at Sotterley Plantation... and died. Some have gone to their rest, yet others continue to be restless. Education Director, Carolyn Hoey, will lead guests on this eerie after-hours tour experience through the over 300 year old Mansion. Feel free to bring your camera! Due to site conditions at Sotterley Plantation, the Legends & Lore Tours scheduled for February have been rescheduled for March 6. Reservations are still being taken for the 8 p.m. tour. There are also reservations still available for the March 20 Legends & Lore Tours during both the 6:30 p.m. and the 8 p.m. tours. St. Patrick's Day Swing and Ballroom Dance "Go Green"
The House of Dance Studio in Hollywood, Maryland is holding its monthly Swing and Ballroom Dance on March 20. There will be a dance class at 7 p.m. followed by open dancing from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Be sure to wear something green for St. Patrick's Day! Beverages and light refreshments will be available.
